• Youth build sustainable environmental solutions

    Observatory for Children and Youth Rights, in partnership with Forum for Equitable Development, is implementing the project “Youth Build Sustainable Environmental Solutions” during the period April 2023- October 2025, an initiative financed by from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, International Development Cooperation (MFEA).

    Project goal; To increase capacity to combat climate change in Albania, especially Tirana and its surroundings, for climate change mitigation and adaptation, with a special focus on sustainable water management, addressing gender inequality and active inclusion of young people.

  • Mobilization of young people for accountability of public officials

    Donor: Agency for Supporting Civil Society

    Duration: April 2016- December 2016

    Observatory for Children’s Rights has implemented the project “Mobilization of young people for accountability of public officials” during the period April 2016- December 2016, an initiative supported by Agency for Supporting Civil Society.

    Project goal was increasing the dynamic participation of young people in order to be active citizens, protagonists of their development. This project has helped and supported young people (18-25), to participate actively in decision-making, in building a community that holds public officials accountable.

  • Prevent Early Marriage in Albania

    Donor: Canada Fund for Local Initiatives

    Duration: 1st November 2015- 26th February 2016

    Observatory for Children’s Rights have implemented the project “Prevent early marriage in Albania” over the period 1st November 2015- 26th February 2016, an initiative supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.

     The project goal was to address the enhancement of child protection mechanisms and services to effectively reach, support and refer the cases of children and families in the situation of such particular vulnerability as early forced marriages.

  • Gender Equality and Women Empowerment- The key to success in undertaken policies – locals and youth involvement

    Duration: September 2015- September 2016

    Observatory for Children’s Rights is implementing the project “Gender Equality and Women Empowerment- The key to success in undertaken policies – locals and youth involvement” over the period September 2015- September 2016, an initiative supported by UNDP and UN Women.

     The project goal is to influence in the reduction of the domestic and gender-based violence and promote gender equality in 2 different areas in Albania by engaging men and boys in partnership with women and girls as allies, role models and agents of change, by involving local actors as well as youth.

  • “Act now for issuing human dignity, - Strengthening the local actors’ role and responsibility on preventing and curing domestic violation, which could result on early child marriage and/or prostitution”

    Observatory for Children’s Rights have implemented the project “Act now for issuing human dignity, – Strengthening the local actors’ role and responsibility on preventing and curing domestic violation, which could result on early child marriage and/or prostitution” over the period 1 January 2015- 15 March 2015, an initiative supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.

    The Project goal was to develop a comprehensive and sustainable approach to implement the human and child’s rights for preventing domestic violence, early child ‘marriage’ and human trafficking, by ensure family and community sensitisation on the child and human rights protection with primary target Roma community.

  • Government of Canada and Bankers Petroleum donate 70,000 CAD for flooded families

    Implementing entity: Observatory for Children Rights (OCR)

    Government of Canada and BANKERS Petroleum, in cooperation with Observatory for Children Rights, provided support to 145 families in the commune of Dërmenas (village Povelcë and Darzezë), by offering humanitarian assistance according to the main needs identified by Fier Prefecture and inveterate in the field, on: mattress, blanket, bed sheets and pillows, in the amount of 70.000 Canadian Dollar.

  • “Reinforcing Children’s Social Welfare Services at regional level in response to children’s social exclusion policy implementation – RIDE”

    Implementing entity: Observatory for Children Rights (OCR)

    Observatory role in this year (May 2013 – May 2014), in harmonize approach with CRU, will consist in coordination and harmonization of all social welfare structures at regional and local level to that ensure that no child is excluded from the enjoyment of its rights.  This new approach will help to design an integrated, coordinated child aware approach to social care and protection service provision, which currently is still lacking – particularly at the regional/local level.
