“A safe city is a city that enables its residents to feel equally at ease and move without fear of sexual harassment or other forms of violence in public spaces, and that takes measures to eliminate gender- based violence, in parallel with ensuring equal opportunities, access and control for men and women in all spheres of social, economic, cultural and political life… ”:
The project “Making public spaces safe for every women and girl” implemented by “Observatory for Children and Youth Rights” supported by "The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI)" and in cooperation with Korça and Shkodra Municipalities, aims to provide an understanding of women and girls’ safety in the selected areas. (September – December 2020)
The project goal is to generate evidence and provide good understanding of the types and scale of violence against women in urban spaces in “Neighborhood 10” in Korça and “Neighborhood nr 1” in Shkodra Municipalities.
